Artist Support Program
In the In-Between offers affordable support services to photographers who are working to develop their projects and careers. Services include experienced guidance and detailed professional advice on developing projects, portfolio reviews, writing statements, editing, sequencing, and more.
This program plays an important role in In the In-Between’s mission as a platform of support for emerging artists. Funds from this initiative are used to develop In the In-Between’s programming. All services are currently conducted by Gregory Eddi Jones, In the In-Between’s Founding Editor.
Services & Rates
Project Response – $50
Project Responses are written portfolio reviews (approximately 500 words) that offer tailored feedback on photographic projects. This service is well-suited for artists looking for advice and guidance on developing their projects, and who have specific issues they are looking for clarity on.
1/2 Hr Skype Portfolio Review – $75
Akin to a traditional portfolio review. We’ll schedule a time for a 30-minute Skype chat to discuss your project, provide critical feedback, and answer your questions. Before the review, we will spend time with your materials so your review will begin with an informed perspective on the project.
Artist Statement/Bio – $75
We’ll help to edit your existing artist statement or bio (up to 200 words) in order to craft a thoughtful, informative, and effective reflection of your work and brand. You’ll be provided one round of thorough edits/revisions, along with editors notes that describe editing decisions.
Website Review – $100
We review the quality of your website’s design, functionality, branding, and the overall professional standards of your online presentation. You receive an approximately 500-700 word written document that covers each aspect of your site, points out causes for concern, and offers suggestions on how to polish your presentation to professional standards.
Project Edit – $200
We’ll begin with a 20-minute phone call to discuss your project concept and your goals. From there we’ll develop a tight edit from up to 100 of your images that can be used as either a completed body of work or a stepping stone toward the next phase of your project. Included with your final edit will be editor’s notes that can help guide future editing decisions for your project.
Project Edit & Sequence – $300
This service is an extension of our Project Edit and includes the development of a tightly curated sequence of your work for exhibition, book presentation, or an upcoming portfolio review event.
